Environmental Risk Assessment of EPPO based on a mistake-Letter to DEFRA

After a careful reading of one DEFRA (Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs of the UK) research project final report a mistake has been identified in the interpretation of the results that have a devastating repercussion for bees, to the point of invalidating the Environmental Risk Assessment for systemic pesticides proposed by EPPO. The conclusion of a relationship 10 between acute and chronic toxicity cannot be obtained from the data provided. Apart from that, these data differ tremendously from the data published by other scientific sources.
