About the Event

The EU Pollinator Hub consortium invites current testers, future users, and all stakeholders to join us in our next training session on September 21, 2023, to gain in-depth knowledge on the use of the terminology dictionary in the platform. 

In the training session participants will learn how to contribute to the process of standardisation of terms, their definition, translation and integration into a taxonomic structure by using the dictionary module of the EU Pollinator Hub. Particular attention will be given to technical terms related to bees and beekeeping. This process will eventually allow the various stakeholders to communicate more efficiently across languages and strengthen the collaboration within the business.

This webinar is organised by BeeLife European Beekeeping Coordination within the development of the EU Pollinator Hub, a new platform available to the public to integrate, share and visualise pollinator-health related data. It will be held by Michael Rubinigg, PhD in Plant Physiology, specialised in apiculture and data management, with experience in animal breeding, pollination management and adult education.

About the EU Pollinator Hub

The EU Pollinator Hub is a new milestone in efforts to improve the sharing of harmonised and standardised data on pollinators. It builds on existing features of the EUBP Prototype Platform, to centralise existing information related to pollinator health and to further develop its features and content. The new platform, financed by the European Food Safety Authority, will be fully operational by 2024. It will include automatic translation, building a vast dictionary related to beekeeping, landscape, and environmental terms , making it a useful tool for a diverse range of practitioners.
