Beekeepers will be present at the General Assembly of Bayer to protest against pesticides
Wednesday 27 April 2011
Beekeepers across Europe are invited to join their German colleagues to protest against neonicotinoid pesticides because of the Bayer shareholders Friday, April 29, 2011. Imidacloprid and clothianidin, manufactured by Bayer, are among the main factors responsible for the deaths of bees throughout the world. Although these pesticides already banned in the treatment of seeds of some crops in several countries, the company refuses to stop production. Food security is at risk because of reduced pollination.
